Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered 170 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With about 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than 12,500 citations and 16 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, and 2023-Research.com.

Zhongwei Guan

Keynote speech title: The impact behaviour of fibre metal laminates made with STF-Kevlar and MWCNT-STF-Kevlar composite materials
Professor Zhongwei Guan is Executive Director of Advanced Materials Research Centre of Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi. He received his first degree on Solid Mechanics in Sichuan University China in 1982 and was awarded PhD on Structural Behaviour of Polymeric Pipelining in University of Bradford UK in 1993. He was Reader in Lightweight Composite Materials and Structures at the University of Liverpool. He has published more than 200 SCI papers in refereed leading international journals on lightweight composite structures subjected to extreme loading conditions such as projectile impact and blast, covering fibre metal laminates, PVC foam-based sandwiches and SLM lattice structures, corrugated sandwiches, timber structures, high temperature TP prepreg, etc., with a h-index of 47 in Google Scholar and citation more than 7400. Prof Guan is World’s top 2% Scientist by Stanford University. He was Chairman of the 5th International Conference on Computational Methods held in Cambridge in 2014. He is a member of editorial board of International Journal of Impact Engineering, Applied Composite Materials and Advanced Materials Letter. He also serves as a scientific committee member of more than 30 international conferences and has given more than 30 keynotes, thematic and plenary speeches.

Tingkai Zhao

Keynote speech title: Preparation and property of amorphous carbon nanotubes
Dr. Tingkai Zhao is currently working as a full professor in School of Materials Science & Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU, China), and a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM fellow, Sweden) & IAAM Scientist Award, and a director of NPU-NCP Joint International Research Center on Advanced Nanomaterials & Defects Engineering, and a vice-director of Shaanxi Engineering Laboratory for Graphene New Carbon Materials & Applications. As visiting scholar he visited Northwestern University (Evanston, USA) & University of Oxford (Oxford, UK). The research topics mainly focused on the simulation, synthesis, structure and performance of carbon nanotubes, graphene, borophene, expanded graphite, 2D nanomaterials, MXene, MBene and their composites, and the applications in energy conversion (supercapacitor, Li-ion batteries, solar cell), EMI Shielding & EMW absorption, smart device & biosensors (HAP, microneedle electrodes, photosensitizer). Prof. Zhao has published 10 books, 19 Chinese Invention patents and more than 200 academic articles on SCI journals, and also obtained more than 20 research funds & 30 Awards and Honors such as the first prize of Shaanxi Science and Technology Awards in 2013 etc, and his research achievements have been reported on《China Science Daily》5 times. From 2019, he has organized GANDE & GNN international conferences as general chair in every year, and also been elected as a executive director of Xi’an Society of Nano science & Technology.

Dr. Wenbo Peng is now a Tenured Associate Professor at School of Microelectronics, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He received his PhD degree in major of Electronic Science and Technology at 2016 from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He has been a visiting scholar in School of Materials Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016, working on the research fields of piezotronics and piezo-phototronics under the supervision of Prof. Zhong Lin Wang. His research interests mainly focus on advanced low dimensional piezoelectric semiconductor materials, devices and physics, contact electrification, triboelectric electronics and optoelectronics, and novel intelligent functional sensors. He has received several fundings from NSFC, Shaanxi Province and companies. He has authored and co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications in related research fields, parts of which are published on high quality international journals, including Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Energy, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, etc. His publications have been cited over 2700 times, as documented at Google Scholar (H-index: 27). He has given several Keynote/Invited Talks in renowned international conferences. He was elected as the Fellow of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM Fellow) in 2022. Zhang Zhuo holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is an associate professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. His main research area is the controlling of grain growth, orientation, and performance of advanced structural ceramics. He has published over 40 academic papers in the field of materials with a total citations of 607 and a h-index of 13, hosted several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Research and Development Program of Shaanxi, Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, etc., and received the first Prize of Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award and the 5th Shaanxi Metallurgical Youth Science and Technology Award.

Ruey Shan Chen, PhD, is a senior lecturer at the Department of Applied Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia). She obtained the Bachelor of Science (Materials Science) in 2012 and Doctor of Philosophy (Materials Science) in 2016 from UKM. In 2016-2018, she was employed as post-doctoral researcher in the same institution. She is now a member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), with the professional designation as Professional Technologist (Ts.) and has authored several books, book chapters, and over 80 articles in professional journals. Total citation: 1612, H-index: 23. Her primary research focuses on polymer matrix biocomposites and multifunctional nanocomposites, with a specific emphasis on enhancing the strength and performance of recycled polymers and biopolymers through the incorporation of agricultural fibers and nanoparticles. She also investigates the foaming process to customize their density and properties, aiming to develop potential applications in fields such as automotive, building materials, and insulation materials.

He obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D Degree in Physics (Specialistation : Insturmentation; Materials Sciences;Thin films, Electrodeposition) in India 2004 and 2010, respectively. He has vast research experience in the field of Thin films, Electrodeposition, optical and magnetic materials, photoelectrochemistry He has awarded as Senior Research Fellow (CSIR-SRF), HRDG, New Delhi, India on 2008 upto 2010.He holds over 148 publications in the international Journals with Science Citation Index, Web of Science; Scopus, Google Scholar index (citations: 1627; Scopus: 1228 h index: 22; i10 index: 46).
